Ran 4 miles yesterday - walked once. Feet are blistered - Ruth, did you say that Body Glide stuff will work for that? My arches are ruined. Glad to hopefully get some weights in this week at some point, although I have no idea when that will be.

oh no sorry about your feet. i have never had blisters... you should make sure your shoes are the right size... the longer distance you run.. the bigger your shoes need to be. (i normally wear a size 8 but my running shoes are 9.5. ...
I also found this for you:
Can Blisters be Prevented?
Yes. Once the cause of the blister is determined, the blister can be prevented. Some common ways to prevent blisters are:
* Wear shoes that fit properly.
* Keep feet as dry as possible.
* Change socks regularly.
* Wear two pairs of socks
o If you wear two pairs of socks, the friction will occur between the two socks, instead of between the sock and skin
* Wear a padded tape that doesn't move and stays on your feet when wet
* Use foot powder to help keep your feet dry.
* Wear blister-free, synthetic socks.
o Synthetic socks wick moisture away from the skin.
* Lubricate your feet with vaseline
I have always wondered why folks get blisters... have you had this problem before? what kind of socks were you wearing?
great job on your 4 miles!
